JUCO

This time of year brings the annual trip to Junction for the Junior College World Series. Ryan has been going to JUCO since 1992 and that tradition is not about to stop. We headed out early Saturday morning so Ryan and Jax could catch the first game. I dropped them off at the stadium and then I took the two younger boys and went shopping. It was not very fun. Huds is crazy and not too good of a listener and Easton did pretty good until he was hungry. After a while I picked up Ryan and Jax and we headed to Kim and Lawrence's for a bbq. We tried to check into the first hotel we booked but decided to cancel it when we pulled up to it and were a little scared. We called around and found a much safer and nicer hotel and stayed there for the night. We all had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year. The only problem......we didn't take any pictures. The picture we did manage take is the car ride home after all the excitement.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was lots of fun, we spent it in South Jordan with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. We headed to South Jordan on Friday with Jenn. It was so nice having help on the way there. We hung out with Heath and Bridge and we even attempted to go to dinner on Friday night. I am sure we didn't even taste any of the food because we ate so fast since the only thing we could think about was having to feed the babies. The boys had so much fun and Huds was perma-grin the entire visit. Easton was spoiled by everyone holding him and Jax was Dad's shadow. Jaxon loved helping Dad and I'm not sure who was more tired at the end of the day, Dad or Jax? Mother's Day was lots of fun with a bbq at Mom's. It was fun to see everyone and hang out. Dinner was amazing and dessert was such a hit that we are having it tonight at our Biggest Loser party! Strawberry shortcake on Twinkies, can you beat that?

Nothing Much

This is how I feel every morning, Easton.

I can't believe that I'd actually ever say that I am ready to go back to church. It makes Sundays go by so much faster and it's a great routine to do with the boys. Jax and I were going to go today but after Easton's doctor appointment on Thursday (the doctor said the worst place you can take your baby right now because all of the yucky stuff going around is church) we decided we better wait another week or so. We've just been hanging out not doing a whole lot. On Thursday after the doctor we went to White River Drive-In and the boys got shakes. They loved it and it gave us something to do for a while. We are still trying to figure out all the sleeping arrangements around here.....we need to get Easton sleeping in the pack-n-play instead of his car seat or with me in the guest room or on the recliner. I KNOW, it's terrible to let your kids sleep with you, but I am EXHAUSTED and try to get whatever sleep I can!

The Week

The past week has been amazing with my mom here. My mom saves my life! It was a rough couple of days home from the hospital because I was pretty sore but I am feeling really good now and adjusting to 3 kids. My mom came last Saturday and stayed until Thursday. Then went home and came back on Friday with my dad and Jenn until Saturday. Even though my mom stayed for a while it still wasn't long enough and I cried when she left. There is just something about everything being okay when your mom is around. The boys had a blast. Huds loved every second with Grandma and I'm pretty sure they read every single book we have a 1000 times. Jax also loved every second with Grandma. Jax thinks he can fly pretty fast with the cape and can't wait for the bugs to arrive in the mail. Both of the boys were soooo excited to see Grandpa and Aunt Jenn and were perma-grins the entire visit. Jax and Huds loved the new clothes and socks from Jenn and Jaxon loved doing "crafts" with Aunt Jenn. The pictures are hanging in his room and both Jax and Huds think they are pretty cool. Dad, Ryan and Jax enjoyed a nice game of golf and 4-wheeling. The girls (mom, me and jenn) and the kids enjoyed doing nothing because that's what happens when your a mom. We did attempt to go to Betty's but after sitting at the table for a few minutes we decided that wasn't a good idea and went to the grocery store for breakfast instead. Easton is a sweetheart and I am loving every minute of him being little (and not being able to talk) and just snuggling him and feeling so thankful that he is part of our family. The boys seem to really love him and Jaxon walks by and loves on him every chance he can. All in all, it's been a great week and it was a great needed visit from family!

Easton Clayton Torsell

Introducing little baby Easton Clayton Torsell. He arrived at 7:34am on April 15, 2009. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 191/2 in. long. Easton was so squeaky when he was first born that he sounded like Donald Duck. We came home from the hospital on Saturday, April 18th. Ryan did more than a wonderful job with the boys at home. The house was clean, the laundry was done, the sheets were washed and the grocery shopping was done. What an amazing husband! Grandma has been here since Saturday and what a life saver! She is amazing. The boys love Easton and don't seem to mind that he's around. Easton has been pretty good adjusting to life and he is a real cutie! We love him to death and we are excited he is part of our family!

Easter Egg Hunt

This morning was Rangely's annual Easter Egg Hut at Elk's Park. It was raining and freezing but so much fun. Hudson didn't want anything to do with the Easter Bunny but Jaxon thought it was pretty cool. Rangely colors real boiled eggs, 3600 of them to be exact, and that's what the kids hunt for. Few and far between they have prize eggs. Jaxon got two prize eggs and his prizes ended up being 2 chocolate bunnies. Perfect, one for him and one for Huds. Hudson had a blast gathering eggs and even though we were all soaking wet it was tons of fun! It is so much fun living in a small town. Even though the entire Town of Rangely was at the park it still wasn't very crowded. That's nice! Tomorrow we are going to Cisco and Jeanie's baptism at the Baptist Church. We are very excited for them. They are great friends and even greater people. We especially can't wait for the BBQ at the church after the service. Hopefully, it won't rain on us!
