Jaxon's 4

Today is Jaxon's 4th birthday! Yesterday Grandma & Grandpa Torsell came over and gave Jaxon some new dress clothes and a remote control train. Jaxon has had so much fun over the past three days with a birthday that seems to never end. Jaxon requested homemade chicken noodle soup for his birthday dinner and yummy donuts from the grocery store. Doesn't get much better for our big 4 year old!

Jaxon's birthday party was a huge hit. It started with a great surprise the night before. Grandma, Aunt Heath, Bridge and Blake showed up for Jaxon and he was all smiles! The birthday party was filled with playing, dancing and singing (hokey pokey, freeze and bunny hop), breaking the Transformer pinata, presents and cake. It was sure nice to have a lot of help with everything. Jaxon had a really good time with friends and family. At the end of the night Jax said to me, "Mom, I think I had a really good day." It was pretty cute.

For the record: I know Heath is going to note this somewhere so I might as well write it down..... Jaxon and Bridger were playing on Friday night running around the house like crazy. Heath had asked Bridge to stop running and told Bridge he'd have to go to time out if he didn't stop. So a little while later the boys were running again (unusual, I know) and I yelled to Jax, "Jax stop running or Bridger's going to have to go to time out". I couldn't believe I said that and after I said that we all just started laughing. It was really funny. Thanks Heath for being so good with disciplining!

Homecoming Parade

Here in Rangely, Homecoming is a HUGE deal! The town shuts down about 2:00pm for Homecoming Parade and everything that follows! Here are a few pictures from the fun event. The coolest part however, one of Ryan's rigs made the parade. What's a parade in Rangely without an oil rig?

Cousin Tessa having fun at the game

Flag football season has started and it's freezing!
We try our best to stay until half time each game but sometimes we don't make it that long.
The boys love it and don't seem to mind the cold.

The start of Septemberfest weekend

Septemberfest is a Rangely tradition that is celebrated Labor Day weekend each year. It is filled with softball tournaments, pancake breakfast, fun days at the park, a parade, home-run derby, train rides, games and yummy food. It was lots of fun. The best part was "Sparkie" the fire dog. He was so dang cute cause it was Ryan wearing the costume! Jenn came for the weekend and we all just had a great time.
