Fall and More

So the weather is getting colder, the leaves are starting to fall and we still don't have a house! I totally thought by now our house would be done but I guess that's how it goes. We've just been hanging out lately, not doing much. We spent this last weekend in Rangely visiting Ryan and dropping off Robert. We were all sick and it wasn't a super fun trip. Only a few more times having to stay at Ryan's parents then we will be in the comfort of our own home! Just hoping to have a new house for my birthday - that would be the best present ever!

Jaxon's Birthday

This was the end of the day

This was the start of the day

Jaxon woke up around 1:30am on his birthday morning sick, throwing up. He threw up all morning and tried so hard not to be sick but the flu kicked his butt. Ryan came to South Jordan for the weekend and we had so much fun hanging out and playing. Jaxon and Huds sure love their dad and we all can't wait to be together. By the afternoon, Jax wanted to open his presents. So while everyone was sleeping (mom and dad were driving home from their trip, Jenn was sleeping, Huds was sleeping) me, Ryan and Jax opened presents. He absolutely loves everything he got. Grandma and Grandpa Torsell gave him a huge tool set that he's played with all weekend. Ryan and I got him a race track (and he gets everything else he wants) and Mom brought home a little truck box and gave that to Jax this morning. Jax thinks it's his lunchbox and stuff and keeps telling me he's off to work. It's pretty cute. Okay, and I have to admit I was a little lazy with the cake. It must be that I am pregnant and exhausted. Ryan and I bought this cake from the store and put a few tractors on the top. I set it in front of Jaxon and he said in his sweet little voice "Mom, I love my cake". I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Other than Jax being sick and watching CARS seven times yesterday he has had a blast with his number 3 birthday!

Jaxon's Birthweek

Jaxon has had so much fun thinking every day is his birthday since Sunday, that we might as well keep the good times rolling. Ryan will be here in a few days to celebrate Jax's actual birthday but in the mean time we'll just let Jax think his birthday is every day. He already insists that he is 3! Jax loves all his presents, from his cash register, to his "talkie walkies", to his sword, bugs, and binocs. And last but not least his adorable outfit. Thanks everyone, for everything! (This has been a rough year but I made a vow starting next year that we are going to get cousins presents again. Because even if it's something small, it's fun to know that cousins near and far are thinking about you and love you)

New Baby

What’s that simple phrase
We use it all the time
“Life never happens how you think”
Here goes my little rhyme

I guess I drank the water
And soon you’re sure to see
You think I’m crazy now --- just wait
Til there is three under 3

It’s taken a while to accept the fact
And now we finally do
The exciting thing about this one
We know that there’s not two

We think it will be lots of fun
To keep it a surprise
A boy or girl, we will not know
Will join our cutie pies

October Birthdays

Yesterday was lots of fun celebrating Heath, Josh, Rylie, Jaxon and Camrie's birthday. We had baked potato bar for dinner followed by peach delight made with fresh peaches from dad's tree. All the gifts were extremely nice and everyone made off with a haul (sorry Em, mom forgot to give your presents to Jax and Ry so they will be opening their presents today). We have a very thoughtful, awesome family! Ang, lots of the pictures didn't turn out. :(

It's getting cold!

We woke up yesterday and it was 32 outside.....burrr! Jenn had to mow the lawn and Jaxon wanted to help. So, we bundled him up (Huds' coat is a little small, his pj's are a little small, his hat is a little small, but his gloves fit perfect) and sent him on his way. He loved helping Jenn mow the lawn. Huds and I hung out inside to stay warm!

The Cabin

Ryan and I thought it would be fun to get away for the weekend and spend some time together as a family. We decided Jenn should come with us so she could watch the boys while Ryan and I went on a date. It was so much fun. We stayed in a little cabin in Massadona Colorado. As we were driving to our destination, I drove right past it. That's how small the town was. It had a Restaurant Tavern, a few camping spaces and 3 cabins (and that's it). We showed Jenn around Vernal and Rangely. Jenn says Rangely's not as bad as I make it sound. Well that's good!
