Easter

Easter was a lot of fun this year. Jaxon was so excited he was up at 6:00am. Huds didn't even know it was Easter but finally got woken up by Jaxon at 7:00am. Jaxon could not believe the Easter Bunny came and brought him bubble gum and slippers. By 7:30am Jaxon came up to me and said "Mom, my tummy hurts". I couldn't help but laugh because I knew exactly how he felt. I remember just being sick eating all that candy. Yesterday was a crazy day. The boys were completely on a sugar high for the entire day. I kept getting so annoyed because they couldn't settle down but then just had to remember it's one day. I kept thinking about my mom and all the years of Easter she went through and all that dang grass everywhere and all the candy wrappers everywhere and all the drool and all the mess. Then I just laughed about it. The Baptist Church was quite interesting yesterday. Jaxon went to a "nursery" during the service. He loved it because Tyce, Damen, Alanna and Corbin were all in there with him. Huds hung out with Ryan and I. There sure was a lot of "Amens and Yes Sirs" and a lot of standing and sitting and it seemed kinda like the Pastor yelled a lot but it was nice to be there supporting our friends beliefs and sharing the day with them. After the service and lunch there was an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. MORE CANDY! The boys had a blast. Jaxon was covered in mud and Huds was covered in candy! The Pastor picks up and takes the kids to and from service on a short yellow bus. Jaxon's funny because every time we pass it he says, "Mom, I ride the short bus". I can't help but laugh. I told Jax that the bus didn't come all the way out to our house. He got tears in his eyes and said, "You can at least ask him if he will". We walked up to the Pastor and with tears in Jax's eyes he asked the Pastor if he could ride the bus. The Pastor said, "How am I supposed to say no to that, of course you can." Jaxon was thrilled. It was a beautiful day and a day for me to think about how thankful I am for my Savior and my beliefs. It's such a great thing to be open-minded about others religious beliefs but I know how thankful I am to belong to the LDS church and believe in it.
