Through Jaxon's Eyes

Pictures by Jaxon

I love when I download pictures from my camera and Jaxon has taken about a million. Huds is hopefully on the up hill and getting better every day. We can't wait until everyone is healthy and happy!

Huds' Tubes

Huds at home after tubes

Jax made sure he had every stuffed animal

The night before tubes

Jaxon telling me "this is pretty, pretty fun"

The boys in the hotel tub - we couldn't get it to fill up so they took a bath like this

The boys and I headed to Grand Junction on Tuesday to spend the night so we could be to the hospital at 7:00am the next morning. The drive went pretty good. Jaxon was so excited to go to Applebee's and he couldn't wait until we got there. Jax ate all of his mac n' cheese, applesauce, fries and then an entire hot fudge sundae (he keeps telling me "plus 2 cherries"). Huds didn't really feel good and didn't eat a whole lot. We checked into the hotel and pretty much just hung out. We were pretty tired and went to bed about 7:30. I knew it was going to be a really long night when Huds woke up at 9:00 with a fever. I had no medicine and didn't expect Huds to get sick. After holding Huds and him crying until 3:30am, I decided to load the kids up and try to find somewhere to get children's Tylenol. I was totally stressed out knowing the doctor would not do tubes in Huds' ears with him being sick. We drove around checking every gas station, every store (that didn't open until 5:00am) then finally we found a little gas station that sold children's Tylenol and Huds was extremely relieved. We went back to the hotel and slept until 6:00am. We arrived at the hospital and met with the Anesthesiologist. He right off the bat said Huds was at a higher risk of something going wrong because he was sick. I immediately started to cry knowing that we needed to proceed with the tubes or Huds was never going to get better. We had a meeting with the doctor, nurse and anesthesiologist and decided that Huds was ok to move forward on the surgery. Keep in mind poor Huds just became allergic to penicillin and had a major rash all over his body. He looked pretty sick. After surgery before we could see Huds we met with the doctor. He said we definitely made the right choice with Huds seeing as when he went in to put the tube in his right ear the incision gushed puss. The doctor also removed Huds' adenoids since they were enlarged and infected. The doctor mentioned that when the Anesthesiologists removed the tube from Huds' throat it was covered in puss too. Which means Huds' had some kind of funky infection going on in his nose and ears. The doctor also said that Huds' right ear never fully developed and is a little deformed inside. He said that Huds may have life long problems with that ear since it's kinda funky. I am so thankful for the doctor and his knowledge to take care of Huds. We finally got to see Huds in the recovery room. I couldn't take any pictures of that because it was way too sad. The nurses said Huds was amazing and didn't even cry. We made sure everything was ok then we loaded up and headed back to Rangely. Huds is pretty grumpy today but overall seems to be doing better. Hope he keeps getting better!

The other day I walked into the Family Room and this is what I found.....need I say more? CUTIES!!! I also went to the doctor yesterday. The baby is doing good and measuring exactly on date. Family Night

Last night for family night we had a pirate party! Jaxon has been watching Dora and they have a pirate party on a boat and he just kept asking if we could have one. He called Grandma and Grandpa to see if they could come but had to settle with just us. We sang the pirate song with Dora, made an amazing pirate cake and even had little blow things for some added fun. Jaxon loved all of it and Huds loved the frosting on the cake!

Super Bowl

Andy and Jessop hanging out

Heidi and Amanda with their awesome glasses

Cisco, Jeanie and Corbin enjoying the show

Whitney and Wes really getting into it

Whitney just waiting for the commercials

Super Bowl was a blast with our friends coming over for a party. I'm pretty sure the 3-D commercials were by far the best part of the show. Although I didn't get any of the kids pictures (it seemed like we had a million of them over here) I did get some good adult ones!
