Pinewood Derby

Our first Pinewood Derby of many was successful. Jaxon worked really hard on his car sanding it and painting it. Ryan added the Bronco emblems and it turned out awesome. Jaxon received the award for "Superbowl Speedster" as his was the ONLY Broncos car.

Broncos vs Patriots

Ryan and I had the opportunity to go to the AFC Championship game with Cisco and Jeani Lucero. It was surreal. I have never seen a sea of orange like I did yesterday. There was so much excitement in the air. It was standing room only the entire game. Lissette babysat the kids while Ry and I enjoyed adult interaction for a few days. The icing on the cake....The Broncos took it all the way home. Superbowl here we come!

Naps, Scouts, Whaley & Diet Coke

Jaxon loves scouts and each Wednesday gets to wear his uniform to school. He has so much fun with all his friends each week learning new things. Easton no longer wants to take a nap. I guess there will be no complaining from me since it's almost been 5 years. Today East asked me if I could tuck him in for a nap. I sure did. Then I got the peaceful picture of him sleeping. Meet "Whaley". Huds little stuffed whale. Hudson loves him. He takes him to school, to church, to the store and any where else he goes. And Brynn. There is a girl after my own heart. She loves her Diet Coke!

It's A New Year

Christmas break is officially over and the boys went back to school this morning. We did however, manage to have tons of fun and tons of family time during break. The kids and I went to South Jordan for a few days to visit. It was so fun. We went to Classic Fun Center with The Bateman's, Jennica and Grandma. Talk about old memories and it still smells the same.  :-)

Christmas & More

What an amazing time of year! A time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. A time to give. A time for "everything" family. A time to be thankful. A time to remember the birth of Jesus. Such a fun, fun time. This year Ryan was assigned to work on the float for the Parade of Lights all day long for his job. Since he didn't feel good and since he was so sick with pneumonia, he gladly accepted. The float turned out amazing. The boys also had a great time at the Fire Hall Christmas Party visiting with Santa. Easton was even quoted as saying "I will sit on Santa's lap and I will not be a jack wagon!" Ryan and I laughed as that's kind of a joke in our family. We've had some amazing "during Sacrament Meeting" art work by Huds (I'm sure that is when I was giving my talk….) and an all around fantastic Christmas!
