Hudson's #7 Birthday

Hudsey is 7! Hudson had a great birthday full of all things Mine Craft, Legos and Whaley's. Huds had a great day at school and loved taking a birthday treat to his class. Huds had his friend Trey spend the night. They ate pizza, had cake and ice cream, played Legos, video games and hunting outside. We put trick candles on Huds' cake and he thought it was awesome. Since Huds shares his birthday with Grandma Torsell, she surprised him at school and had lunch with him. We loves Hudson so much and he's such an awesome boy!

Little of This....

The boys don't like the smell when I bottle pickles. This is their defense.

My wild flowers always make me smile.

My garden has been lots of fun this year.

I found this huge leaf on my walk. It reminded me of my Grandma Denny because it came from a huge "hot dog" tree. I don't know what they are really called. That's what we called them when we were little and played with them at Grandma's.

Easton pounded my Diet Coke and THEN fell fast asleep. I'd say he was tired.

It's really fun having just Brynn and I together in the mornings.

This was a first for Brynn. It's at Walmart. I usually have 4 kids with me doing the shopping and it was just her and I. She loved it.

Pickles, Rain, Hudson, Snowflake & More.....

It has been a fun end of summer.... school starting soon couple of weeks. I have been bottling cucumbers like crazy making our first pickles ever. Mom keeps telling me, "Don't open the first bottle until Christmas"... so we will be waiting. We have loved every August rain storm and the boys loved dancing in the rain. Hudson has been all smiles as his "birth month" begins at Grandma & Grandpa's with a Minecraft shirt and "This is the livin' for me" eating an ice cream sundae at McDonald's. Finally, Snowflake has lived to see another week as Ryan finished building it's rabbit hotel and can now live outside. Life is good here in the Count'ry.

Rio Blanco County Fair 2014

Who knew one could cry so much over a pig? We had such an awesome week at the Rio Blanco County Fair. We learned that fair was a lot more than just selling Ms. Piggy. Hudson had a blast entering contests and took 2nd in the Rock Rolling Contest, 3rd in the Rock Painting Contest (he painted the American Flag on a rock) and 4th in the Mutton Busting Contest. Jax was super nervous to take part in the Steer Riding Contest and took 6th. Ry and I about died watching Huds ride a sheep and Jax ride a steer. Easton had so much fun meeting new friends and playing all day long for 4 days straight with no agenda. Brynn entered in the Rabbit Chase Contest and caught and came home with "Snowflake". He/She is a cute little thing and helping lots of us (Jax & I) get over Ms. Piggy. There were booths and sorts all through the week. Huds managed to find a Ring Making Booth that sold rings and cowboy hats. He didn't leave the booth until the non-english speaking man was so sick of him that he finally sold Huds a cowboy hat for $22 instead of $50. Ry and I laughed hard cause persistence paid off for Huds. It was extremely hard to bid farewell to Ms. Piggy. She was "some pig" and Jax showed her so well and sold her for $1500. He did a great job and we were very proud of him. Jax and Huds are already talking about fair next year..... Help me!
