Thanksgiving

Heath and I working hard in the kitchen...this is how we found the guys

Grandma and Grandpa Torsell reading to Huds

Reading to the boys...Can you find Ryan?

Now we know why there are so many pictures like this of mom!

East just hanging out

And this is how we found Danen while we were slaving away

Jax and Huds having a little snack

The boys having a little cereal before bed

Bridge after dinner...maybe he was a little tired

The boys just hanging out

Ry and East as Heath and I are doing the dishes

Don't worry, Blakers is not crying. This is his camera face!

Jax and Bridge playing under the table before dinner

Thanksgiving this year was a little different then years past. The Bateman's, Raymond, Lissette, Alanna and Damen and our little family were all in attendance. We only had enough large dinner plates for 7 people since our other box of dishes went missing which made Heath end up with a tiny plate for dinner. Dinner was full of laughter (mostly Danen and Heath), crying (mostly Jaxon because Grandma Torsell made all of his food on his plate touch), and lots of thankfulness. Especially thankfulness for traditions. Although Thanksgiving was a little different there were still traditions that have gone on through the years like Grandma Denny's table cloths and other little things. I am bummed about the pictures, the lens was way dirty and made all the pictures blurry.

Christmas Lights

Ryan and I will try anything to get Jax to sleep in his bed all night. Last night we decorated the crib with Christmas lights and this morning Jax ended up in our bed any way! Any suggestions?

Free 5x7

We went to the mall the other day and were approached by Kiddie Kandids asking if we wanted a free 5x7. Heath asked, "What's the catch?" There was no catch they were just training new hires. Well, they actually had to take single pictures of all the kids and by the time we got around to the free 5x7 this is what we got. Hilarious!

Painting

We've been in our house for almost a year now and it's time to start painting. We thought it would be a great winter activity. So, yesterday I painted the master bathroom.

The Tent

Ryan needed to set the tent up to dry it out and thought it would be a good idea to do that in the living room. We all slept in it last night and the boys think it's pretty cool. Me, not a big fan of clutter therefore not liking the tent in our house. It looks so much smaller outside!

Mom's Poem

Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day
With little time to stop and pray
For life's been anything but calm
Since You called on me to be a mom
Running errands, matching socks
Building dreams with building blocks
Cooking, cleaning, and finding shoes
And other stuff that children lose
Fitting lids on bottled bugs
Wiping tears and giving hugs
A stack of last weeks mail to read
So where's the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a minute, Lord
Just at the sink or ironing board
To ask the blessings of Your grace
I see then, in my small one's face
That you have blessed me
All the while
And I stop to kiss
That precious smile

Halloween

We had a fun, eventful Halloween around here. I've never really liked Halloween (got that from my parents) but it was fun to watch the boys have so much fun. It was the cutest thing to ask Huds what he was for Halloween. He'd say BUZZ with his little lisp. I had to throw in the picture of Jax shooting his spider man web. It was pretty funny. If you look close you can see the tape all over his face so he could look like spider man.

"Don't Give Up Shoes"

Ryan and Jax were watching tv the other night and a commercial came on. It was about a man getting chased by all sorts of animals through the forest while he was running from them. When the commercial ended Jax turned to Ryan and said "Dad, those were his don't give up shoes".
